Lyon trio Tôle Froide consists of Pauline, Leslie and Morgane and they released their first album about three years ago. Now they have finally returned with their second LP La redoute which is gives us eleven new tracks inspired by Lio, Les Calamites and Kleenex. At first listen this might be one of the best records of the year, so inventive, positive and jarring in all the right places. You can get it from their label Et mon cul c’est du tofu?, it doesn’t mention the vinyl on bandcamp but says to email them to order. Coincidentally the cover was created by Danish artist Anna Degnbol, whom I saw a lecture by at POST festival last year.
