More actor-themed music here from Glasgow. Goldie Dawn is the best band I’ve heard from that city since Lucia. With Kate Rambo on vocals, the group turn in four tracks of slamming powerpop on what is their debut EP – out a month from now on Drunken Sailor. Tracks like “Gone With the Wild” have a melodic sense worthy of Gary Valentine-era Blondie. The self-titled EP is definitely the summer hit of 2020 you’ve been waiting for. “What’s Inside (Never Dies)” will be blasting through my speakers at the beach, that much is certain.
