The peculiarly named Aborted Tortoise are a bunch of punks from Perth, Australia. After releasing their first EP last year on Televised Suicide, the Italians at Goodbye Boozy picked them up for a second EP that finally came out last month. After working with Straight Arrows, The Frowning Clouds, Wet Blankets and The Living Eyes – they’ve had great track record of working with Australian bands. Scale Model Subsistence Vendor by Aborted Tortoise is no exception. These four songs are tight and do not make any excuses. “Violent Consumers” even sounds a bit like Neo Boys.
EDIT
The band’s 2017 LP is actually still available from Bachelor Records. Check it!
