Discontinuous Innovation Inc. from San Francisco deal not only in scrappy punk, but sometimes also in no-fi pop. If you remember that Umbrellas tape from last year – here’s some more in the same vein. The Snogs sound like a disposable razor with shavings of Beat Happening and The Sealions. On their new tape Charmless they give us 13 tracks with both male and female vocals. It was originally released a year ago, but is now available on tape worldwide. Anyone who’s got the taste to cover “Subterranean” by Primal Scream (officially the best song written after 1970) has our seal of approval.
