While we are talking tapes, why not point the spotlight on last year’s excellent demo from Dollhouse. It was distributed by New York City label Toxic State and featured 6 tracks that will fry your speakers. Much like their fellow NYC punks Cutie, Dollhouse is all about speed and chaotic whirlpools of sound. “Summer Love” sounds like the worst summer you’ve ever had. “Eating Angels” verges on hardcore, and making “Making New Friends With Other Losers” might remind you of Amyl’s Sniffers when they were punk.
