This new EP from Neutrals just came out a couple of days ago. Following their Kebab Disco album from last year, this shorter format does the music a world of good. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the LP, simply that Rent/Your House is a brilliant collection of songs. Sharp, witty and with a production that packs a punch. “Hitler’s In the Charts Again” must the be the song title of the year. The band have just received copies from Portland label Domestic Departure but say they will hold off posting pre-orders out from Oakland until conditions have improved. But don’t be shy: “All proceeds from the EP will be donated to two organizations currently working against the consequences of the modern-day right-wing policies of the US government, RAICES and Border Angels.”
