Pozhar, or Пожар, is a Moscow-based artist specialising in a mix of synth and dream pop. Affiliated with the great Perfect Aesthetics label, his latest single “It Turns Out I Scream Alone” is not yet listed on their bandcamp however. The b-side “Dead Prince” is perhaps even better, letting the guitars completely saturate the soundscape. Pozhar means fire in English, which makes for a nice contrast to the cold and sadness of the music. It can be a bit tricky to find artist with Cyrillic alphabet names on streaming services, so I recommend checking out his bandcamp, there’s also a really good album from two years ago.
