Brigid Dawson used to perform with Thee Oh Sees in their early years and has continued to provide vocals on their studio albums. Three years ago she created the OCS album with Dwyer, a moniker he hadn’t been using since the group was basically a solo project of his. It seems she has continued working on new material of her own ever since, because in May she’s releasing Ballet of Apes on Castle Face. The album is credited to Brigid Dawson & the Mother’s Network. The network has included Mikey Young, Sunwatchers and former members of Sic Alps and Fresh & Onlys. The first single, called “Is the Season For New Incarnations” is available now.
