Brannten Schnüre from Germany have quietly risen to become one of the most interesting musical acts in Germany during the last few years. Many discovered them with last year’s Low Company release – the great Erinnerungen an Gesichter. Brannten Schnüre was started by painter Christian Schoppik and now also includes Katie Rich. Since their first release they’ve been surrounded by a kind of magic that is rare these days. Their latest album came out in January and is a tale of winter. It’s called Durch Unser Zugedecktes Tal and is long since sold out from the label Youdonthavetocallitmusic, but you can check out one of the tracks here and another one in our recent RRR show.
