Static Shock have teamed up with Theo Zhykharyev to release his new EP as Powerplant. Actually, Powerplant is no longer just a home recording project but a proper band performing live as well. After last year’s brilliant People of the Sun (one of few interesting albums to come out of the UK in 2019), Powerplant are back with A Spine / Evidence at the end of April. You can listen to the mesmerising a-side track “A Spine” now and think about why no one else in London is making post-punk this relevant at the moment.
