It’s been great to follow the first day of the Isol-Aid Festival here in Australia. Sadly it’s a format that only works for acoustic/more intimate styles of music. It’s still very hard for bands that require a PA setup to engage with audiences, or bands who just don’t fit into a emotive/celebratory aesthetic. We recommend continuing to support via bandcamp, eg. by preordering No Statues’ debut tape, coming out in May. The first track “Overtime” is a gloomy post-punk tale that shows influence from Orion and Body Maintenance. It sounds amazing for a home recording and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the tape. I saw them live a couple of months ago and they definitely have a bunch of great tunes already.
