Another Melbourne group releasing new music on bandcamp this week (no artist fees on Friday, so spend liberally) are Plastic Chairs. They are a trio heavily influenced by Sonic Youth but you could also hear echoes of post-punk groups like Essential Logic on their first EP Analogue Lunch from last year. Their brand new record is called Sleep Walking and leads off with the rumbling “Sleep Talking”. After two impressive instrumentals they close with “Strange Exchange” which is a definite highlight.
