Bikini Body are a new four-piece from Edinburgh, playing a unique kind of post-punk that sounds like Bush Tetras and Life Without Buildings at the same time. Their first single “So Posh” came out in December and a few weeks ago Pond Life appeared on their bandcamp. For a debut EP it’s shockingly great. The lyrics to both “So Posh” and “Late Bloomer” are really spot on. Vicky Kavanagh deliver the vocals with a seldom heard authority. The artwork looks like a flooded forest with a lone empty can of Tennents floating around. I couldn’t think of anything worse.
