Psychedelic groups from Portugal? I bet you wouldn’t be able to name many. In fact, Sunflowers is the only one I know. They’ve recently been picked up by Stolen Body, who are issuing their third album together with Only Lovers. Endless Voyage is a schizophonic musical journey through a dystopian world and “the rise of the machine”. We’ve heard it before, but maybe you haven’t heard Sunflowers before. You’ll get breezy, synth-based instrumentals like “Contemplation” intermingled with full-on Oh Sees shredders like “Oscillations”. The two-part title track is the highlight for me.
