Strange News is a series of gigs organised by Sydney label Third Eye Stimuli, the latest of which is happening right now across the road from here, after having taken place in Sydney last weekend. Headlining is New Zealand psych-pop master Joe Ghatt and band, but it’s a heady lineup including Kosmetika, Foggy Notion and Noodle House. To mark the event, the label has released a wonderful compilation tape including all the bands on the bill as well as other great groups like Bad Bangs, Misty Lanes and Fruit Tones.
