I realise this is an old release but I was listening to some of the other releases on Italian Avant! and somehow I’d missed that they put out Pleasure Symbols’ first LP last year. Pleasure Symbols is a Brisbane band who debuted in 2014 with an excellent EP. They’re playing a Monday Night Mass gig next month at Northcote Social Club, with support from Bitumen. Closer and Closer Apart is a new side of the band, which used to be the duo of Phoebe Paradise and Jasmine Dunn. Phoebe has left and Jasmine has now recruited a full band that is sporting a more melancholy sound reminiscent of Slowdive.
