Hello 2020, hello Melbourne. One new band I’m hoping to catch live soon is Lymes from outside of Ballarat. Lymes remind me of all the great US noughties groups like German Measles, Tyvek and NODZZZ. They put out a tape called Index (always a great title) at the beginning of 2019 and I’ve been waiting for something new from them. In October they finally released their first vinyl record, which is a shorter version of the EP without the track “Clones”. You can get it from their French label Polaks, who’ve previously worked with Vintage Crop. If you like them you’ll love Lymes.
