Sacramento duo Dog Party’s most recent album came out in 2018. Just before Christmas last year fans of their Rondelles-style punk could whet their canine appetite with a new single. Dog Party Sings the Beatles is exactly what is sounds like – two covers of the fab four. Covering The Beatles has always been a big no-no, but they actually manage to do something interesting with “I Feel Fine”. Sounding more like “If I Needed Someone” than the early r’n’b-based Beatles, this track comes alive through its harmonies. The other track is “All I Got to Do” from The Beatles’ second album.
