Nick Normal is a pretty normal guy from Portland, except he’s released some brilliant tapes of Devo-core over the last few years. German label Do the Math recently compiled these onto one tape, called Nicky’s 1st Rodeo. His most recent release came courtesy of San Francisco label Discontinuous Innovation. Fitting in nicely with the rest of that label’s oeuvre, Windows Painted Shut gives you new wave with “Room For Improvement”. All four tracks are great.
