Although Finland-based these days, Drew Owen has gotten back into releasing stuff solo under the DD Owen moniker – apart from playing in the great Baby’s Blood. His most recent record is a digital-only metal spoof, called DD Deth. Even if he proclaims that “metal sucks”, he does his best at getting that metal riffage into some no-fi punk tunes that run the unusual (especially for Sick Thoughts) length of over three minutes a piece. “Give Me Abuse” is my favourite track.
