Renata Zeiguer is a Brooklyn-based singer making bossa-infused songs. Her first album Old Ghost from last year had one foot in an indie rock world, but with her new EP Faraway Business, Zeiguer seems to have focused on a jovem guarda sound – especially on opener “Chega de saudade”. Her voice sounds amazing when she sings in Spanish, but the new versions of album tracks “Wayside” and “Gravity” are also beautiful. The record is out on Northern Spy.
