Brian Collins from Los Angeles has just released his first album on Woodsist. As Hurt Valley he makes psychedelic pop not much unlike Woods themselves. Glacial Pace is a brilliant if unassuming album, that is content to quietly win you over in the course of its 35 minutes. The guitars are definitely what makes this album memorable. Often layered on top of each other, there’s always a lot going in on the background. Mixed into one harmonious unit that recalls the classic West Coast sound of The Millenium, it works perfectly on “Apartment Houses” and “I’ve Been Everywhere”.
