I’ve been a bit late in discovering the great album Chris Forsyth released back in spring. All Time Present is the latest of a long string of albums from this New York musician, who’s mostly been playing with The Solar Motel Band the last few years. The new record is credited only to Forsyth however, just like his first album Paranoid Cat from 2011. There’s a new version of “Paranoid Cat” on the new record too, which all in all approaches the length of albums released at the dawn of cds when it was fully normal for albums to last over an hour. The defining track here is album closer “Techno Top” which shows how Forsyth has been influenced by Television in particular (not weird since he’s studied with Richard Lloyd).
