Matt Valentine from Wet Tuna and a huge pile of other bands has released a solo record on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond and it’s a real mind-melting experience. Compared to his previous solo record from 2011 this one is a psychedelic odyssey spanning about 30 years of musical history. The 10-minute “Analog Love” sounds like the soundtrack to a Jodorowsky movie. Valentine created the record with a star-studded list of guest musicians and sounds like a true labour of love. It’s called Preserves and it came out yesterday.
