The Devo hype has spread to France, where Ursa are making synthy punk in Lyon. A few months ago their first LP arrived on Future Folklore/Cool Mariage Records, called L’Esprit De La Teuf. It’s full of energy, ingenious bass lines and and the same cool as Les Calamités. Check out the blistering “Le Moustique” or the bouncy “Aérobic”.
