Dream Phases is an LA-based quartet playing psychedelic rock with a definite West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band influence. Their new record is actually more enjoyable than Allah-Las’ latest effort. So Long, Yesterday follows in the footsteps of their debut Mr. Midnight, Vol. 1 from last year but it’s much more accomplished. They seem to have picked up some cues from The Smoking Trees and MMOSS, and the result is a brilliant record. From the soft acoustic strumming of “Confusion” to the effect-laden “Crippled View”. It’s out now on Lunar Ruins.
