A record that has slowly been growing on me this year is Faye Webster’s Atlanta Millionaires Club. On late night cross-country drives, this record has been my steady companion. Up until the point where I had to mention it. Pitchfork has already given it an extremely high rating and the single “Kingston” that came out around this time last year has almost 7 million plays by now. What an achievement for a 21-year-old musician. Just like Molly Burch, Webster works with bringing a 60s recording style back but adds her own personal touch. This is her third album and it’s out on Secretly Canadian.
