Since first hearing The Bristols, Fabienne Delsol’s solo albums have been a trusty companion-piece to my life, appearing every few years and always with an incredible standard. Four is her fourth album in 15 years and while it used to be about 3 years between LPs, this one has taken a bit longer to come out. Having free reign in her partner Liam Watson’s Toe Rag studio and access to some of London’s best musicians is guaranteed to result in amazing records. As usual we get a strictly curated selection of covers, including a version of Sheephouse’s “Ladder” which has become a mainstay on the psychedelic scene. The record is out on Damaged Goods since a few weeks now.
