Raise a hand if you’ve missed Tyrannamen? Tyrannamen singer Nic Imfeld has returned with a new outfit called Mr. Teenage. Their first single “Neighbourhood” just appeared on bandcamp, and it’s a winner. It’s powerpop in same vein as Primitive Hearts and, more recently, perhaps New Age Group outta Canberra. Also in the band is Nic’s brother and Nadine Muller of Killerbirds, who’s probably more well-known for her styling work than her formidable drum skills. Rounding out the quartet is guitarist Carey Paterson of TV Colours (also from Canberra, by the way).
