Crash Material is the trio of Siahn Davis, Monika Fikerle and Perry Mahoney. Based, in Melbourne, I’m pretty sure they’re working on some proper recordings. But in the meantime they’ve shared a live set from The Old Bar which sounds a lot like late 90s American bands via Sonic Youth. These guys are taking the dark post-punk sound of many new current bands but adding a heavy layer of guitar pedals and dissonant melodies that were probably buried with post-hardcore bands like Girls Against Boys.
