I had the pleasure of seeing U-Bahn play earlier this week, and what a show it was. Terry and The Shifters were supporting, but U-Bahn simply commanded the stage and impressed greatly with their new material. Their first album came out at the beginning of the year on the small French label Future Folklore. It’s called U-Bahn and is full of Devo-inspired post-punk. One of the finest moments of the set was when they played “Time Warps Makes the Sweetest Sound”, complete with xylophone and flute. Hopefully they can make it over to Europe to play soon
