I happened to stumble upon Calum Newton’s musical project Candy, just after mentioning his work on the LVIV record. The former bassist in Amyl & the Sniffers makes well-crafted pop songs over drum machine beats, and since releasing his fourth album last year, two brand new singles have appeared. “Feel” and “Familiar” will appeal massively to people into Beach Fossils and early Wild Nothing. I also love the artwork for both releases by Amy Mcnickle.
