We don’t normally write about reissues, but this one is something special. Hiroshima punks Kyosanto put out two cassettes in 1984, called Communist and Uzimushi. These were originally released on the band’s own label Communist Rebel. Now, the NYC label Bitter Lake Recordings have taken it upon themselves to release these back-to-back on vinyl for the first time. The sound is what it is, a cassette rip, but songs like “We Are Punx No Die” are still essential listening. One of the group’s members later went on to play with Gudon.
