Brisbane group Thigh Master reminds me a great deal of the late great Bitch Prefect. With one album to their name, they’re about to put out their new record Now For Example on US label Goner. Still operating in the same lo-fi idiom as e.g. Woollen Kits or Wet Blankets, the two first singles “Entity” and “Mould Lines” are full of spunky bass lines and mumbled vocals. There’s also the slight Flying Nun guitar lag of “Exodus”. That one and “Comfort Zones” also appeared on a split-LP with Dag during 2018. The album’s out on the 27th by which time the band will be on tour in the US.
