Ventura group Vnlvx (with members of Massenger) have a new record out, but no news of a vinyl release yet. Two singles have been shared on the tube so far, “Cambodia” being the second. While “Tripwire” featured a similar punk sound to their debut Is Unlux, this one is a bit slower and more post-punk. The album is called Unlust and is both darker and more playful than the debut at the same time. On “Revenge of the Seas” we’re reminded of the great-but-gone Olympia group Christmas. Sasha Green’s vocals are the captivating, and the opening track is sung in Spanish – kind of making me miss Massenger. This is one unruly record that won’t get in line for anyone.
