Oakland post-punk trio Ötzi have stayed silent since their 2017 album Ghosts on Last Hour. Bassist Akiko Sampson, drummer Gina Marie and guitarist K. Dylan Edrich are still pretty active live though, and earlier this year they put out a live EP that also includes some new music. The Part Time Punk Session was released on tape by UK label Richter Scale, who’ve also done a Judy & the Jerks compilation tape. New track “Ballad of Oiwa” sounds suitable sinister for the times, especially with the ugly turn of events in UK currently.
