Judy & the Jerks from the small town Hattiesburg in Mississippi is one of my favourite bands right now. After a string of tapes on the Earth Girl label, they’ve just released their first vinyl record for Oakland label Thrilling Living. Called Music For Donuts this EP is a greasy collection of shredding punk. Every song here is full of inventiveness and hardcore attitude. “Cyclops Baby” is my current favourite and at 1:52 it’s the longest on here. For fans of Vanilla Poppers!
