Has it really been one and a half years since the last Booji Boys album? Where’d the time go? Weekend Rockers really floored me and the Unknown Pleathers EP from last year was equally great. But truth be told, I didn’t think they had another album in them. Tube Reducer proves me devastatingly wrong. Shock full of 15 tracks, there’s not a dud in sight. This record could be a future power pop classic. More scuzzy than Bad Sports’ defining moment Kings of the Weekend, more punk than Cheap Time and Wax Museums – Booji Boys really are nailing the sound. Drunken Sailor missed out on the latest Cowboys release, but they can be proud of releasing this piece of work from Booji Boys.
