Glasgow’s Current Affairs are back with a new 45, this time out on new Berlin label dotx3. “Buckle Up” might be their most accessible tune yet, but Joan’s vocal makes it certain that they’re still punk. “Worlds In Crisis” starts off with a canon of twin jangly guitar. Someone’s been listening to Altered Images growing up, which is always a plus I’ll have to say. Heavy on the chorus pedals, this release will appeal to fans of more wellknown groups like Low Life or even Whenyoung. You should also check out the self-titled EP from LA post punk group Argument? that dotx3 put out at the same time. All essential stuff.
