Longtime Record Turnover favourites The Young Sinclairs are returning with their first LP since 2014. Out of the Box was meant to be out already back in 2018, but the band were offered a vinyl release by French label Requiem Pour Un Twister, so you have to wait until July to get the limited vinyl release (only pressed in 500 copies in three different colours).
Out of the two tracks shared so far, “Same Old Now” reminds me of Cornershop or closing track “I Could Die” from their previous LP This Is the Young Sinclairs. “Birthday Card” is a more languid affair in the vein of Sam Lunsford solo material (check out his amazing self-titled LP from 2012 guys). An essential release for fans of more well-known groups like Triptides and Levitation Room.
