So for some reason I had always believed that Sydney group Bloods’ first album was Feelings, which came out last year. Somehow I had missed their 2014 album Work It Out, which was released on cassette only by the American 90s label Minty Fresh. This version just appeared on the group’s bandcamp page. Feelings was a rather tame effort compared to the sonic onslaught of this first record. On Work It Out the trio churns out the no-holds-barred punk pop we got to know them by – thanks to the unparalleled “This Town” from way back in 2012. If I was a teenager I would live, love and die by this record.
Without further ado, here it is in case you also missed out. Another version was released locally in Australia on Tiny Galaxies with fewer songs and including some different ones too. Very confusing.
