You’ve got to appreciate a band that knows how to strike while the iron is hot. Vital Idles from Glasgow have done everything right. They released a 45, got signed to one of the best labels out there (Upset the Rhythm), released an album that received favourable reviews around the world, and now they find themselves in the midst of a new hyped post-punk scene with a brand new EP on their hands. The self-titled EP includes four tracks that go from ingenious minimalist punk to laidback semi-spoken word. Where can they go from here? Well, onwards to an even more amazing second album of course.
