It’s been a while since a noise band got featured on RT, but with USA/Mexico’s new LP Matamoros, it was inevitable. Out in a couple of weeks on Austin label 12XU, this is an amazing exercise in loud mastering. Just check out the title track and opener “Matamoros” below. George Dishner of Spray Paint also appear on one of the tracks – there are only five of them all in all actually. The trio’s latest album Laredo came out two years, but the new album sounds more ambitious, and if possible even louder. Still political (their name being pretty on point), I can’t wait to hear the 17-minute track “Anxious Whitey”.
