Molchat Doma is a Belarusian three-piece, with driving bass, sulky vocals, a digital synth from the eighties, and thin, accenting guitar notes all held together by a spastic, rigid drum machine. Etazhi is their second album, put out by Berlin based label Detriti Records in September, 2018. The album has a persistent mood which is only emphasized by the brutalist architecture in the artwork. Maybe it is because the band is relatively new or because I don’t understand any of the lyrics, but the ambiguity of it all seems perfect.
