Max Pain & the Groovies have been gaining a small following since the release of their debut EP back in 2013. Their off-kilter garage rock has since filled two albums, but it wasn’t until last year’s EP on Greenway, Sounds From the Hole, that I really started paying attention. Last year they were also one of the gazillion groups that played Desert Daze in California. Travelling recording outfit Jam In the Van invited them to do a set and the results were just released.
