Approaching midterm at the Master of Design and the workload is getting heavy. My second essay deals with The Pirate Bay in relation to the Walkman and Paul Du Gay’s “circuit of culture” model. Lev Manovich’s “Media After Software” is worth a read if you are interested in this stuff.
Or you could just re-watch every episode of Soft Focus. I recently watched Svenonius interviewing Stephen Malkmus of Pavement and then Kim and Thurston of Sonic Youth. Brilliant series.
