Recently my speakers have been dominated by Blasted Canyons, The Men’s new Sacred Bones album, Greek garage sensations Acid Baby Jesus (LP out on Slovenly soon!) and this record, the debut from Orange County’s TRMRS on Dead Beat. Usually bands with names consisting of acronyms or symbols turn out to be less interesting than their names, but like their labelmates Manic Attracts, these guys turn in a set as noisy as anything from the Segall/Dwyer axis but with an undeniably POP undercurrent.
