Anyone who hasn’t seen this really must, a real breakthrough for visual identities. British design studio PostSpectacular was commission to design a dynamic, digital identity for The Victoria and Albert Museum’s exhibition of digital and interactive design, Decode: Digital Design Sensations (8 Dec 2009 – 11 April 2010). The result was an open source identity that you can see above, which through their own graphical interface on Googlecode, could be remixed and recoded by anyone. The results were collected by the V&A and their favourites screened on London underground stations (follow the link to the exhibition to see a gallery of submissions), with the possibility of actually replacing the existing Decode identity if it was truly remarkable.
